Energy team consists of raw materials businesses such as coal, iron ore and petroleum coke and biodiesel feedstock businesses such as palm, soybean and canola oil.

Major business activities

Coal is the main business of Energy team, which possesses accumulated experiences and know-hows of 30 years in power plants, steel manufacturing plants and cement factories across Asia. In order to occupy stable trading volume, GS Global has established a subsidiary in Indonesia to hold various business models of buying coal directly at the region.
Energy team is also reviewing to acquire shares of Indonesian and Australian mines with the same rationale. We also supply Indonesian iron ore and American petroleum coke to China, Korea and other Asian nations.

Moreover, GS Global supplies future energy sources such as palm, soybean and canola oil to GS Bio. Business diversification along relevant fields are also being considered.

The Green Energy TF is performing its duty as a total solution provider of future energy sources such as biomass and renewable energies.

Business fields

We supply various biomass resources such as wood pellet, PKS, rice-husk pellet, EFB pellet to our nation's power producers, industries, agricultural and household markets as well as to Japanese, Chinese and European markets. Green Energy TF is also expanding its business arena to solar and wind powers, bio fuels and raw material businesses.

Major business activities

We are strengthening our supply system of biomass by establishing foreign producing bases and supply chains.
In April 2012, we completed a wood pellet factory at Hainan islands, China. Furthermore, we possess a supply chain of 700 thousand tons of PKS per year.
The Green Energy TF also invests in local factories abroad and supply chain structures to solidify its stable biomass supplies.
